Stephen Bear Jailed for Breaching Sex Offender Requirements

Reality TV contestant Stephen Bear has been jailed for breaching his requirements as a sex offender. The 36-year-old admitted to five counts of failing to comply with the register notification requirements at Thames Magistrates' Court. Bear was already on the sex offenders register for sharing a private sex tape of his ex-partner Georgia Harrison in 2023. As part of his registration requirements, he was ordered to inform authorities about any foreign travel. However, Bear failed to do so when he traveled to Brazil last year. Instead, he posted videos on social media showing him on a beach and bragging that the police would not be able to catch him. Prosecutor Maisa Mamman told the court that Bear's actions were a clear breach of his requirements. She stated that Bear had posted videos on social media essentially bragging about being in Brazil. Bear also failed to notify police within three days of his return to the UK and did not inform them that he had acquired a new passport and two bank cards during his trip. ## Breach of Requirements Bear's defense claimed that he was not aware of the restrictions at the time and is now clear about what the requirements demand. However, Deputy district judge Claire Pithie told him that the sentence takes immediate effect. She added that Bear needs to work on his strategies to avoid finding himself in difficult situations, especially considering he has a baby on the way. ## Previous Convictions Bear was previously jailed for 21 months in 2023 for sharing the private video of himself and Harrison on OnlyFans and WhatsApp without her knowledge. After serving half his original sentence, Bear was released from prison but went on to breach a restraining order that banned him from posting online about Harrison. He posted about the case and Harrison on multiple social media platforms between 1 March 2025 and 21 July 2025. ## Sentence and Consequences Bear's sentence for breaching his sex offender requirements will run concurrently with his previous sentence for breaching the restraining order. He was jailed on Thursday for the latter offense. The court's decision highlights the importance of complying with registration requirements for sex offenders and the consequences of breaching these requirements.
