Twinks Witch Identity Sparks Backlash on Big Brother
New Big Brother housemate Twinks faced immediate criticism from fellow contestants after revealing she identifies as a witch, leading to viewer backlash.

Twinks and Catrin entered the Big Brother house following Johanne's eviction. The newcomers had barely settled into the iconic house before facing a wave of criticism from the original housemates, a situation that quickly ignited a fierce reaction from fans online.
Twinks reveals her witch identity
Twinks admitted she identifies as a witch. She stated she is not classically or traditionally religious, describing her beliefs in energy and the power of people. Twinks said she does not know if she has clair-visual abilities but believes in energy.
Housemates react with criticism and conflict
Rochelle and Philip agreed they didn't like Twinks and slammed her confidence. In a separate conversation, Frankie, Omar, Harry, Pauline and Lynx discussed Twinks' declaration about being a 'witch' and voiced disapproval of 'the dark arts'. Omar stated that 'witch' has a negative meaning. A conversation between Omar, Yasmin and Twinks caused further friction, which left Twinks in tears. In a sneak peek, Twinks told Omar: 'If you're scared of witches, you're scared of the matriarchy.' Yasmin told Omar to 'have some f***** respect.'
Rochelle also called Twinks and Catrin 'Twix and Twat'. Elsewhere, Rhianna admitted she felt 'jealous' seeing Omar interacting with Catrin.
Fans condemn the housemates' behaviour online
Viewers took to Twitter/X to condemn the housemates' 'nasty' and 'stand-offish' behaviour. They were irritated to see the unpleasant atmosphere in the house. One fan said: "Omg the way everyone is talking about the new girls is absolutely awful." Another agreed: "The name calling already is NASTYYYY get rochelle out."
A third wrote that the mean girl vibes were strong tonight. A fourth asked how you could have beef with someone who just came in. A sixth added that the behaviour was not nice.
Mixed reactions from the audience
While many fans criticised the housemates, one viewer admitted their own discomfort with new entrants. This fan felt the housemates were valid in their reaction, calling it a toxic trait. They admitted they really wouldn't like new people stomping in either and would just have to shut them out.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
