Celebrity Traitors Season 2 cast 2026

The Celebrity Traitors is back for a second series with 21 famous faces set to compete in the castle. The show premieres on Thursday, October 1, 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, hosted by Claudia Winkleman. This new round of deception and amateur detective work features a cast of actors, comedians, singers, broadcasters, a mathematician, a supermodel, and a YouTube star.

Contestants reveal their strategies and hopes

Stars have shared how they plan to approach the game of bluff and detection. Comedian Joe Lycett, 38, sought advice from last year's winner, Alan Carr. Lycett said he asked Carr for advice on "how to spot a rotten little traitor like you." Carr's reply was simple: "Just anyone that's sweating and giggling."

Miranda Hart, 53, hopes the joy of mucking about on television again will outweigh the challenges. Fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan, 48, blamed his youngest son for his reluctant participation, while Rob Beckett, 40, and Joanne McNally, 43, are also among the funniest contestants.

Some players are considered major threats. Actor Michael Sheen, 57, is perhaps the biggest dog in the fight. Richard E. Grant, 69, may leave less well-known celebrities star-struck. In pop music, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 34, could be a big dog.

Others plan more subtle tactics. University Challenge host Amol Rajan, 43, does not want to be Mr Forensic Investigator at the first round table. He aims to make friends and keep his head down initially, though he noted his professional skill in pursuing answers. Actress Myha'la, 30, described herself as a 'kill them with kindness' player but admitted she wants to be a Traitor. Mathematician Hannah Fry, 42, is there to fulfil the nerd quota and believes being seen as smart could make her a threat.

Bella Ramsey, 22, revealed they have been playing a version of The Traitors since age ten and will keep opinions private until the right time. Love Island presenter Maya Jama, 32, actor Ross Kemp, 62, singer James Blunt, 52, YouTube star King Kenny, 29, and actors Julie Hesmondhalgh, 56, Sharon Rooney, 37, and Sebastian Croft, 24, complete the lineup.

Last year’s winner set the bar high

Alan Carr’s emotional victory as a bluffing Traitor remains a defining moment in the show’s history. Last year's show provided Bafta's most memorable TV moment, voted for by the British public, when traitor Carr broke down in tears at the end of the final after hiding in plain sight. His win sets a high bar for the new celebrities entering the castle. The new series begins on October 1.
