A new open-world survival game called Zombie Craft is set to launch later this year, blending the farming simulation of Stardew Valley with the factory-building mechanics of Factorio. The game is being developed by RyunGeunShin, according to a report from Screen Rant.

Players control a small witch who wakes up alone in a forest with no memory. Her goal is to travel across a pixel-art continent, accepting jobs from inhabitants and rebuilding villages to build a new life.

Daytime Farming and Building

During the day, players must focus on activities reminiscent of Stardew Valley. This involves tending to crops, looking after animals, and constructing buildings to aid survival. The factory-building elements from Factorio come into play as players design structures, some of which are intended to keep threats away.

Nighttime Zombie Survival

The safety of daylight does not last. When night falls, the undead awaken across the continent. The witch discovers she was not the only one to rise from the ground. Luckily, she has an arsenal of spells at her disposal to repel the zombie forces and survive until morning.

The game's official Steam page currently offers limited information. Its art style is noted as being reminiscent of classic pixel-art games. The core loop of farming by day and fighting zombies by night is expected to appeal to a wide audience.

While an exact release date is not yet confirmed, Zombie Craft is expected to arrive sometime this year. It is already available to wishlist on Steam, which will notify players when it becomes available for purchase.

The source report included detailed information about Stardew Valley for comparison, though it is not directly part of the Zombie Craft announcement.
